Ian Wild and Emma Ryan
Kitchen & Living Room Refurbishment
Ian Wild and Emma Ryan bought their house for its potential, knowing that it could be an incredible home once it was transformed. The first step was to find a construction expert that could help bring their vision to life and Ben at Cavanagh Construction soon set their minds at rest. In only 16 weeks the experts at Cavanagh Construction were able to bring their vision to life.
Combining the three rooms downstairs into an open plan kitchen and living space that maximised the potential of their home. Ben project managed the works from start to finish and used a team of highly skilled specialists to ensure that every aspect of the project was completed to the highest possible standard.
“We would not hesitate to recommend Cavanagh Construction. We have chosen Ben and his team to carry out work on more than one occasion – replacing our slate roof, insulating and boarding out our loft space, repairing our timber doors, window frames, porch and conservatory, replacing our front door and garden gates and repainting all our external woodwork.
Work has always been carried out to a high standard with great attention to detail. Arrangements made are kept to, and we have found everyone involved to be friendly, polite and helpful. Work has been carried out in a considerate and tidy manner to our complete satisfaction.”
New Kitchen & Extension
We first found out about Ben through personal recommendation and have been delighted with the results. After putting our project out to tender we felt that Cavanagh Construction would be the most suitable company for the job. From the initial meeting and throughout the project Ben’s attention to detail was second to none.
From project planning to the last lick of paint Ben, managed each and every aspect of the project. Ben’s team delivered faultless work and the service we received was always professional, courteous and very tidy.
New Kitchen & Extension
“After viewing some of Cavanagh Construction’s previous work and talking to Ben in detail about our plans we were confident that he would deliver exactly what we were looking for. In fact Ben was able to adapt our plans in a way that enabled us to maximise the space in our new extension.
The extension built by Ben and his team now houses our new kitchen diner, utility room and loo making it an extremely stylish and versatile family space.”
Our client wanted to modernise their living space whilst making the most of the available space in their home. Central to this project was enhancing the fireplace in order to achieve a more contemporary feel.
As a skilled craftsman Ben was able to help the client to bring their vision to life by designing and installing matching bespoke bookcases in the recesses either side of the fireplace. These hand built units included ample shelving space as well as cupboard space for additional storage.
Storage in the room was added to with an additional shelving unit completed in the same finish as the units around the fireplace.
In addition to this the chimneybreast, ceiling and walls were plastered and a new solid wood mantelpiece was fitted above the fireplace. The space is now perfect for sitting back and enjoying a cosy open fire.
